Feed mixers are used for the mixing of feed ingredients and premixes. Effective mixing plays a major role in the feed production process to ensure the proper distribution of ingredients and nutrients. Uneven mixing means uneven nutritional values and sub standard feed production.
Drotsky’s mixer range consists of vertical and horizontal mixers. All our feed mixers have an outstanding mixing process.
Vertical Mixers consist of one or more vertical screws that take material to the top of the mixer where it falls back to the bottom to be mixed. They are used on small farms and in small feed mills. Vertical mixers are unsuitable for mixing wet ingredients.
KS – inclined screw mixers - Excellent output, high energy ration, high roughage ration. Provide outstanding mixing methods/process.
Turbo-Mix – Smaller, but faster inclined
Horizontal Mixers consist of a series of paddles or metal ribbon blades attached to a horizontal rotor within a semi-circular trough. Material is moved from one end to the other, tumbling and discharging the mixed product from the bottom. These mixers are affordable, have short mixing times and can be used for mixing moist feeds.
